El Graduat òptica has stablished strong ties with the expat community since we opened just before the Covid pandemic. It all started by chance, mainly because El Graduat is located in the heart of Gràcia, a neightborhood with an intense cosmopolitan life. We are fluent in english wich help at first, then we quickly learnt to adapt to the agendas (full with travels, and meetings abroad) of our international neighbours. We managed to rush orders to fit their needs, and deliver in particular strict deadlines. Now we have a growing clientele of expats, digital nomads and international travelers.

El Graduat is a contemporary optician, specialized in advanced optometry and contactology, with the best designed frames in the city, but also (and above all) we are a neighborhood optician, rooted, committed to the neighbors, local trade , sustainability and Km 0.

At El Graduat we want to show our love for the profession, defending the rigor, precision and scrupulousness of optometry. For this reason, we require lenses and a graduation cabinet to live up to our commitment. We have put our trust in ZEISS, which is the only manufacturer that guarantees us the precision to satisfy our needs and, of course, those of our clients.
/ Quality and design
We apply the same principle that twinned us with Zeiss to the frames. The quality of the materials, the solution of the fit between the lenses and the frame or the design of the bridge define our choice. We avoid, therefore, the big distributors or rigid and cheap plastics. At El Graduat we only have frames from specialized brands, with glasses made by hand in workshops in Europe, Japan or the USA.

We run away from frivolous luxury and flimsy filigree. At the Graduate you will find quality glasses assembled thanks to a rigorous process, regardless of your purchasing power. We were born in difficult times and we are very clear that sight is fundamental for everyone and being well corrected cannot be a privilege.

Finally, you will find us in Gràcia, our neighborhood, in front of el Mercat de la Llibertat. A place that has seen us grow and mature, where our sentimental education has been written. El Graduat is inseparable from the city and the neighborhood and would not make sense anywhere else. We feel so privileged to work here, that we still open the blinds every morning with the excitement intact.

What is El Graduat?
An optician in the heart of Gràcia. Rooted and contemporary. Which puts the relationship with customers, local trade and sustainability first, but which also takes advantage of new visual technologies and new materials (lenses and frames).
What makes it different?
Precision, rigor and quality. We only grade and correct with Zeiss and sell only independent frames handcrafted in workshops in Europe, Japan and the US.
Why?
Because we value our craft. We believe that cheap plastic frames, with poorly maintained lenses and a poor graduation harms visual health, but also personal harms personal and familiar finances: the result is new glasses made every year. This is a dynamic that we must correct.
What do we offer?
Our recipe is simple:
We will offer you a selection of handmade, sustainable acetate and state-of-the-art titanium frames, resistant, quality and very well designed.
A free check-up and graduation of your eyesight with a state-of-the-art Zeiss cabinet that will last as long as necessary to achieve the perfect prescription.
We will explain if there is any eyesight problem and we will propose a range of solutions with Zeiss lenses, the most accurate and rigorous on the market.
Who is our audience?
Everyone; our neighbors, from Gràcia and Barcelona. We suit all pockets and all needs, and work hard so that everyone can see properly. We opened our doors in the middle of the pandemic: being well corrected cannot be a privilege.
